This wine exudes dark brooding aromas of blackberry, ripe blueberry, cassis, roasted coffee, dried fig, black tea, new leather, and toasted oak. Upon first sip, the palate is dazzled with dense blackberries, dark chocolate, black currants, anise, briny black olive, cigar box, bourbon, and walnut. Firm, gripping tannins and bright acidity bring it all together to create a magnificent bottling.

The story
Goosecross is a winery in Yountville, located in Napa Valley, with a history spanning four decades. Currently owned by Christi and Dave Ficeli, who developed their passion for wine while working with a different winery in Modesto, California, they eventually realized their dream of owning a family winery. Despite career diversions, their ambition to establish roots in Napa Valley led them back to Goosecross, reflecting their deep connection to the region.
The winery maintains its long legacy in Napa Valley, focusing on hospitality and the traditional values of winemaking. Christi and Dave, alongside winemaker Bill Nancarrow, produce distinct, vineyard-driven wines, reflecting a balance between land and winery. Their approach combines traditional winemaking with modern techniques.
Goosecross offers a unique experience where farming, vine cultivation, and winemaking meet hospitality. The Tasting Room and Deck provide a serene setting for visitors to enjoy the wines and the picturesque Napa Valley, blending rural charm with contemporary quality and hospitality.
